This is part of a series of pieces of artwork about the self expolitation of women today.

Having grown up with three feminists in the eighties i am fascinated how women potray themselves.  I am exploring the effect of social media on the female body and how they use physical and digital manipulation in the search of perfection.

Asking the question why and who they are doing this for?  These abstract female figures are an attempt to express these ideas through expressionism of butchered and dressed meat.

I like to use strong cold note reds mixed with warm flesh tones to give contrast.
