This painting took a while to create , it seemed to change daily as it took on a life of its own. I needed to get the colours right. Colour is so important to me,it needs to respond to the mood of myself and the imaginative work being created. Each day I placed my tubes of paint out in a row,I took out a blue and that didn't seem right. Maybe another coffee would do the trick! Was it the right shade of yellow. The phone rang and the mood of the moment had gone to be replaced by another thought. Sometimes a break sorts things out. Paul Klee says and I quote 'Colour is the place where our brain and the universe meet' So back to the canvas ,the colours were right and they were placed out in a row. The Blank Canvas and the tubes of paint were all ready but was I??? I wonder if anyone other than an artist knows the desperation of having, yes having to paint. It is not painting by numbers ,you have to let the brain do the work, the brush is a tool. Ah well !much later the chap appeared
