My original oil painting was dedicated to the last bullfight held in Barcelona's Monumental bullring. The afternoon 25th September 2011. The matador pictured was Jose Tomas and is one of the greatest living matadors. He has since retired, only making special appearances. His understanding of the art was exceptional. The painting depicts the end of an era. The matador is leaving the ring, and will shortly be carried through the great doors on the shoulders of the crowd. The print is a giclee limited print edition of 75. Mounted on card 14 in X 18.75 in. Picture 9 in X 13.75 in approx. In cellophane sleeve with full description attached to the back. Signed and numbered by artist. Jose Tomas was 40 at the time.
Will not fade.
