Beautiful original poppy painting with deep tactile texture and pretty flowers. There is so much going on in this painting! It took me many months to paint, with many layers of paint and beautiful colours. Amongst the bright foliage of poppies, daisies and other flowers are butterflies, dragonflies and ladybirds. My paintings are inspired from my childhood, nature, flowers, bird watching, long walks, the changing seasons, exploring forests, gazing at the stars, climbing mountains, meditating, swimming in the sea and lazy days in wild meadows Paintings are created with love, using a variety of mixed media, acrylics, oils, inks and textural pastes. I adore creating tactile paintings which are begging to be touched. It’s a delight working on a blank canvas seeing my painting emerge from the raw to the organic state. Each painting is professionally wrapped and secured in a custom made box. I have a courier at my studio daily so I can ensure your painting is sent out swiftly. F

Artist Reviews

I liked this as soon as I saw the photographs of it and I hoped it would be as good as the photographs made it look. The truth is, that the photographs don't do it justice. The paint is so richly textured in some parts, that it almost has the look and feel of a heavy embroidery. For a large canvas, with so many individual flowers, I think it is incredibly detailed. It really has been painted with love.
