Knitting Ring, Formations

in Pencil by Carole Bury No Artist Reviews
10 monthly payments of £37.50 0% APR

The unusual rock formations and birds on the Somerset Coast near Watchet have provided plenty of material for Carole. On a first visit, a newly knitted jumper echoed the colours in the rocks - hence the nickname that has stuck over the years.

The formations seem to be spinning off the land and into the life of the sky in this pencil drawing.

'A series of drawings and paintings were made on this coast, both on the beach and back in the studio. It is a remarkable place and couldn't be more different to the high Cotswolds where I have lived for so long.

The pencil drawing honours the geological formations - of which I have always been fascinated by and loved, and the squawking of the seabirds. They seem as interested in us and we in them!

The drawing is 26.5cm x26.5cm and uses the lightness of touches in pencil. It is set within a larger piece of paper. It is not framed or mounted, and you may like to consider a wide double mount and simple frame if you are looking for a fresh modern 'look'.

It is signed and fixed and will arrive with Next Day delivery by the Royal Mail. Insurance included.'
