An artists book by mark masters
This is my latest book in a long succession of artists books. This book is outrageous, funny, controversial, ridiculous, intelligent and very silly. It is written without conviction, prejudice or any religious influence. It is a pastiche of the world we live in today. I would best describe it as a coffee table book. It tells the story of how Jesus lands on earth in a space ship on top of a hill, crushing three large crosses beneath the space ship as it lands. In exploring the planet, he meets a very sad looking man called Thomas Cook, mistakes Macdonalds for a church, gets an insight into Ladybird Books, stays at the Bates Motel, helps Captain Birdseye brand his famous fishfingers, gets caught up in the Guy Fawkes conspiracy, meets Hitler, takes a trip aboard the Titanic, is approached by four chaps claiming to be disciples whom have been waiting for him since reading 'The Second Coming' by W.B.Yates and finally buys two fish and five loaves from Lidl's on his way back home on Sunday to have for his tea whilst watching 'Highway' with Harry Secombe.
If you have absurd friends to dinner parties and enjoy after dinner reading, before retiring to the lounge to each wear a plastic Mexican style moustache whilst watching 'Machete,' then this is the book for you.
Each book is signed and dated by the artist.

About the Artist
Mark Masters Critical Analysis. Dark, foreboding caverns constitute the environment in which lie Mark Masters’ idiosyncratic and eccentric creations. His style predominantly draws upon the Expressionist and Cubist movements, although a nuanced inclination towards Neoclassicism is detectable i...
