INVITATION TO AMSTERDAM
Oh Amsterdam how I fell in love with you Your cobble streets who ruins my feet Your quirky houses with friendly faces and any artist’s dream Your water canals with floating objects that you call boats and to be fair some real boats too Nothing perfect but so addictively attractive are you! In the red light district you sometimes get fingers to choose from – but that makes me giggle Makes me wanting just more of you my dear Amsterdam The bicycle commuters in the morning fills me with a bubble of joy Mums taxis bicycle carry their little ones, who sing like canaries on the top of their lungs, as they travel through the streets on their way to school. In you Amsterdam I get another concept of “I will pick you up” When I see a lady on her bike who have another lady on the back, side saddling with a quirky handbag on her lap. Everyone is smiling laughing, greeting in rain or sunshine, as they cycle along. Amsterdam in your tummy I can stay from now till forever Varnished and will be sent
