A Guards jacket hangs from the shuttters of a sash window, and a silky dress is draped over an elegant chair. The jacket is a fascinating object to paint: not only for its strong colours and glittering buttons, but for its history. Where has it seen service, whose history was it part of? Now it speaks of returns, reunions or maybe of loss. This painting will be framed, and the framed dimensions are: 26" wide x 34" high x 2" deep. The frame is on order, but I have included photo to show the style of frame being made. Also, most of my other paintings on this site have the same style of frame, for reference.
