The most textured and darkest (in colour) of all of my artworks – ‘I was here first’ was inspired by a trip to France where a massive ‘urban Jungle’ had grown around and almost completely enveloped a small home. That small home now has its place squashed in the middle of its threatening new neighbours. Very dark black textured skyscrapers with real silver glittering windows reaching up to a textured silver crescent moon, hints of pewter and dark greys. Mixed media including many different texture pastes, sand, silver, acrylic, resin, ink, glitter, and different varnishes. Signed on the right side edge of the painting.
