I painted these hollyhocks from flowers picked in my garden.
Hollyhocks are renowned for their robustness and ability to survive through all weather conditions, which has certainly been true this summer. In fact, they seemed to reach for the skies at over 10 feet high. They are also a symbol of abundance and fertility, mirrored by the multitude of seeds they provide.
