Hidden Identities 2. Venice

This is a scene of Venice I have recreated in many paintings throughout my career as an artist but each take on it involves a different narrative. The figures in white reflect a deliberate homage to Nicholas Roegs film 'Don't Look Now'. Roeg's use of the colour red helped inspire me to use colour and tone in detailing people and certain parts of a landscape to suggest an inexplicable presence or to leave clues towards something ominous lurking.

Artwork

Even though the original description did not stated, the artwork is framed, and the frame and glass are of poor quality, so I will have to get them replaced.
