There is no doubt I'm a Grecophile and this painting was inspired by a recent visit to the island of Paros in the Cyclades, Greece. This beautiful blue-domed church is found in Naoussa, a delightful town with a Venetian ruined fort and gorgeous little harbour.
The artwork has been created with high quality acrylic paints on a sand-textured surface (see photos) to give the feeling of aged walls. It is protected with a gloss varnish.
This is a 12" X 10" canvas framed in a wooden frame with a black finish, the framed size is 13" X 11". It has D-rings fitted and is ready to hang.
The painting has been protected with a satin varnish, which gives it a soft sheen.
