Harvest Moon is a narrative piece of art with these words written in pencil on the base. "The brown hare listened as the bird sang a tune and then did a dance for the harvest moon." This whimsical sculpture features an adorable hare and a little bird under an orange and gold moon. It is made out of EVA (resin) and wire and the base is an oval shaped pine wood log slice which measures approximately 15cm by 6cm. From the base to the top of the moon it measures 25.5cm. So endearing. Although this is a new design for me, I've been working with these materials since the early 90's and I still have an original piece which looks as good as new. Just don't leave in a hot car all day or it will melt! My wire and glue sculptures have found their way into a number of art galleries over the years including The Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
