Willy Lotts farmhouse was made famous by John Constable in his painting of the Haywain. The site is now owned and managed by the National Trust and I am lucky to live close enough to visit this area and regularly walk along the river at Flatford. I painted this small oil painting after a visit in autumn with the late afternoon sun shining on the golden leaves still clinging to the trees.
