Eye - Line
Porcelain Lithophane created from an original pencil sketch. The mould for this lithophane was created by first making a 3D print from the 2D sketch, then casting a mould in plaster. The piece is poured to circa 3mm thick and the final piece is circa 2mm thick. The inspiration here was the technical challenge of trying to recreate the light seen in a "real" eye from the translucency available with porcelain.
