The rock formations are always a surprise on the Somerset coast near Watchet. The colours and shapes are wonderful.
'Exploration' is a small pencil drawing, intentionally ambiguous - just where are the seabirds originating from? Carole's love of both birds and geology is evident.
The coastline is so surprising in teh Bristol Channel, deep red rock formations standing proud on the beach and beautifully coloured strat. Early morning and low tides produce the noisiest seabirds playing, darting, fighting and wheeling in the wind. Carole's sketch books are full of birds and rock formations from this coastline. She has painted and drawn outside on the beaches, and at high tide scrambled to the cliff tops. Back in the studio the source materials are combined to create this drawing.
'Exploration' is 26.5cm x 26.5cm, it is drawn within a larger piece of paper. It is signed, fixed and will arrive delivered ready to take to your framer. To give a fresh modern feel, a wide double mount and a simple frame could be considered. Next Day delivery will be used by the Royal Mail with insurance included.
