Elements of Spring

A sumptuous and rich piece painted in fine detail on an antiqued gold background with a textured gold-metal leaf sun glowing in the sky. We associate the antics of the hare with springtime when it becomes more visible gamboling in the fields. This one fixes the viewer with its stare while Orange tip butterflies, an early spring flier, surround it. The hare was deified in ancient times by the people who raised our standing stones, often used to calculate the passing seasons. Painted around the edges, this picture can be hung framed or unframed.
