I produce many paintings based on my childhood in London. The London Docks at a time when it was full of ships from all over the world. However, times change and I like the transformation of the old docklands. It is still possible to see the odd old tug as I did on a recent visit and decided to do a painting. Although it was a warm overcast day with a little light rain it was still pleasant to walk around the Thames backwater. A quick sketch to take back to my home in East Anglia and when Autumn came I decided to start the painting.
