Dawn (Wall Mount Sculpture)

10 monthly payments of £45.00 0% APR

The copper is finished in resin to maintain the copper colours and also to protect it. The work is inspired by the deer itself, having spotted one within Epping forest while driving past in Essex UK. I later thought of the trophy head often seen mounted on a wall hinting at death. However, I wanted to use the idea but to hint at life by conjuring up a time of the day in which the deer existed and reflect that onto the surface. With this piece, it is the dawn. I also wanted to experiment with copper so this is the first effort! The material, I believe, reflects the warm subdued glow that can occur at that time. The base is decorated with leaves to hint at the forest trees. This sculpture is ready for mounting on a wall. It is signed on the reverse of the mount.
