A larger watercolour painting portraying a dancer caught in the joy of her dance. This is an impressionist painting the watercolour paint has been encouraged to behave 'badly' - water has been deliberately dropped into the drying washes to create back runs, which I feel give wonderful life and movement to an artwork. The skirt is free-flowing and has been spattered with silver gouache. It has been painted on Two Rivers handmade watercolour paper using professional quality watercolours, Brusho and gouache. It measures approximately 14" X 18" and has a 1" border on each side to allow for framing (see photos). It is sold unmounted and unframed. This paper has a wonderful natural surface and deckled edge all round. A certificate of authenticity will be provided with the painting.
