Da Vinci Enigma Mixed media Sculpture by Alan Harris British artist, paintings, oils, watercolours, pastel, mixed media and sculptures. When the technical composition of a musical instrument is combined with other precision parts, it is possible to create a predictor once thought by ancient Greeks to measure wind disturbance in the continuum of time. The two suspended bell shaped objects (represented by trumpet mouthpieces), will often move without reason, which signifies an age old scientific demonstration of force without contact. Because of the molecular construction it is anticipated that time will alter the surfaces in some way and change the direction of these forces. Although still the subject of much debate, it is thought that viewer of this phenomenon will be blessed with good luck. I created these sculptures by using broken or otherwise discarded objects, to give them new or continued life by reworking them as works of art. using Kintsukuroi, to not only repair, but also to celebrate the initial damage with golden emphasis. My work was inspired by knowledge of this art, and a desire to preserve the past, like most of my figurative work. This is a totally unique piece as every part is unique in its own but the viewer will see a new interpretation as part of a new object of art
