A postage stamp image This image is an interpretation of Escher’s’ Cubic Space Division’ a lithograph from 1952. From Escher’s monochrome original this work uses warm and cool colours created from over 3000 used postage stamps. On close examination it can be seen that most joining staves remain of square section but some have been made cylindrical and while most cubes remain solid some have been hollowed out to add to the illusion.
