Cadgwith, first light

The little cove of Cadgwith is on the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall. The few houses in the village are mostly of old stone or whitewashed cobb with slate roofs. Despite its small size, there are always lots of small boats at Cadgwith and here they are shown pulled up on the strand in the harbour. This is from my series of Cornish harbour paintings (Cornwall is my native county) ; here I wanted to paint the village in the soft colours of dawn with ochres and greys predominating.
The painting measures 48cm x 48cm x 1.7cm.
This is acrylic on an upcycled canvas, varnished, sides painted white and ready to hang (or it could be float framed).
It comes signed on the back and with a signed certificate and I'll be happy to sign the front if desired.
W 48.00 cm x H 48.00 cm

About the Artist
