Britons protection skyline by day

I must say

Gives us hope today

On a summers day

 

Cos in our town

 

A Manchester town

Mancunians walk the streets

with very little treats

 

but look on this view

and you can see

 

modern Manchester awaits you

with skyline changing

old and new coming together

forever.

 

Its clever

 

and as people walk by

there’s a tram passing by

a bridge over the road

 

we’ve got a load of history

on our city streets

 

Cos Mancunians led the way

 

Industrial revolution

We Had the solution

 

Appliance with science

Invented computers

And commuters

led the way in the right way

 

With Railways, bridges

Cotton mills galore

Theres much more

 

So I’ll tell you the score

 

come on R Kid

Stand tall and proud

And say it out loud

 

You’re a Mancunian

Born and bred

 

So lets go in that pub

On the side of the road

And raise a toast

Of better days to come

 

So yeah
