‘Blue Butterfly’ media semi-abstract painting in textured mixed media and collage on a box canvas. The main colours are shades of blue, white, silver and a touch of purple and gold. A few of my favourite inspirations and links to butterflies in art history are Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and the van Gogh butterfly series. The butterfly is a symbol of joy, the soul and transformation. Psyche, the Greek goddess of the soul, is often depicted in art as a beautiful, butterfly-winged woman. The painting is ready to unwrap and hang, or it can be taken to a professional framer for a specially made canvas frame if preferred. I have signed the painting on the front and on the back.

My mixed media paintings are inspired by the real world around me, and the surreal world of art history; where the colours of the seasons in nature, or the lights of the city, might intertwine with a fun pop art style or an expressive abstract.
