This is an original acrylic painting on a stretched deep edged square cotton canvas of two elephant siblings.

Elephants are one of my favourite animals with their majestic size and mannerisms.

I loved painting these two young elephants with the elephant calf being particularly cute.

The painting was inspired by a visit to chester zoo and by seeing how the elephants interacted together socially.

It is painted in an impressionistic and illustrative style which includes Naples yellow, titanium white, raw umber and sap green acrylic paints.

The painting is finished with a satin based varnish and presented with a Certificate of Authenticity.
