I am originally from Newcastle upon Tyne with strong links to Northumberland, I now live in Cambridgeshire. I have always crafted, drawn and painted. In 1999 I attended a tutor led class in watercolours. This taught me new techniques to use. Over the past few years I have honed my watercolor painting skills, watercolours have become my first love. In 2013 I started to paint in acrylic too. I take inspiration from my love of my garden, hens, cats, nature, boats and historic/classic cars. In recent months I have become interested in the landscape as seen from the air and will be exploring this further. I produce hooked wool abstract pictures and collages of eggs, hens, pigs, sheep, hares and birds in the style of Victorian specimen cases. I am a member of Cambridge Open Studios and every year take part in July Open Studios. My work has been sold at the Babylon Gallery in Ely and other local exhibitions. I held my first solo exhibition in September 2017. I take commissions and have in the past painted, yachts, historic racing cars and seascapes. I run a weekly art group with a friend. I was featured on BBC Look East on 26/6/19. The feature focussed on my aerial pictures based on the views I see when flying in my plane
