I am a multimedia artist based in London. I initially studied drawing and composition in Ireland and trained in design in London. I have worked in the fashion and magazine industries in a variety of contexts. I have always taken photographs, and had an ongoing art practice, alongside whatever work I was doing. Ideas of beauty, identity and representation often feature in my work. Other interests include anthropology, psychology, literature, cinema and cultural rites and rituals. I often use images that I have styled and photographs that I have taken as a starting point for multimedia pieces on canvas, and sometimes add paint, surface decoration and distortion, and sculptural elements. I like to play with traditional ideas around form and medium, as well as mixing craft with technology. I like the work to have colliding narratives, or often, a collection of stories impacting upon each other. I am also interested in process - in learning new processes and new ways to use theses processes - and, in a similar way, in one idea, or story, leading to others.
