I've been producing photographic images for over 20 years using both traditional film and dark room methods and digitally. For the past 30 years I've been a Vicar within the Church of England working in the Worcester area and although now retired I'm still very active in ministry. I am married with three grown up daughters. I originate from Todmorden in West Yorkshire and my father was a German POW. My mother was the first English woman to legally marry a German prisoner after the War. My father was a member of the Royal Photographic Society and, after his death, I inherited his photographic equipment and began producing images myself. The imagery is very varied in content from Landscapes to Flower photography but my main interests are in Architectural Photography seeking to capture the mood and spirit of a building and also I have produced a large volume of graveyard imagery. My other focus is on what might be called "spiritual images" which I have used extensively in my work as a clergyman and they reflect spiritual and moral issues within our society. I have had several exhibitions within Worcestershire which have attracted considerably public and media attention because of the challenging nature of the imagery. This attention has been reflected in the national press including articles in the Times and Observer with the Art's Correspondent of the Observer stating that if I were ever to stage a London based exhibition then they would be willing to highlight and assess my work as a whole. And so I am currently seeking to explore such a possibility but it isn't easy when you're not involved in the art world. It is my intention, however, to keep trying until I discover a gallery willing to display my work within the London area and any assistance in achieving this would be greatly appreciated. My work has also been the subject of a short series of reflective programmes on BBC 2. I have also in the past shown my work to the art collector Mr John Noot who stated that he would also endorse and recommend my work. My work has recently been sold through the Von Kaler Gallery based in Berlin. The three images that I have uploaded on Gallery are general images and, apart from the architectural image, are not fully representative of my work. The reason for this is that I thought that these images may have more general appeal rather than the more challenging content. Thank you for your interest in my work and my story thus far.
