Hi, I was born in England but married a Welshman and came home to live in wild West Wales in 1981 - and I’ve never looked back. I've always been passionate about art; sketching, painting and later sculpture and even making short art films and have produced and regularly sold work from 1981. However, life interrupted my career until in 2006 to 2009 I successfully studied for and completed a three year university course, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art, with Honours, at Trinity University College, Carmarthen. Since becoming a BA I have worked experimentally in a wide range of media and delight, particularly, in finding and bringing the tiny and unseen in nature into focus. Though my works cover a wide range of disciplines my studies of bark and lichens are possibly my favourite and though they may seem unfamiliar they are, in fact, very accurate reproductions of what nature, almost, hides from us. I am also known for my work done for the National Trust in Wales (Dinefwr Park, Newton House). I have previously been commissioned to produce and run willow-art workshops (large scale, outdoor pieces) by them and was also commissioned to produce a piece of outdoor land-art (my Celtic Circle) to stand in the grounds of Newton House itself. I also held a twelve day, one-woman exhibition there. I always work alone but, besides my web sites and exhibitions, also sell through a cooperative of approximately 29 artists who, as a group, own and run the prestigious King Street Gallery in Carmarthen, West Wales. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have about my work. If you don’t see exactly what you want here I am quite happy to work on a commission basis and will produce something just for you and will always be delighted to respond to any query. After all these years I grow ever more passionate about my work - and I hope you will too.
