Nora Doherty is an up and coming Devon artist. She creates colourful unique contemporary oil paintings which vibrate with colour, light and depth. Through sheer hard work and experiment, Nora is self-taught and has learnt to use the flow and purity of colour of traditional high quality oils to transform space and landscape into highly expressive, flowing oil paintings. Nora was selected by the South West Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 2005 and now again in 2007 and received from Teignmouth Art Society ‘Most Innovative’ and ‘Best Marine’ painting awards in 2006 and again ‘Most Innovative’ in 2007. In Oct 2008 she was honoured to be selected by Royal West Academy of Fine Arts, Bristol open exhibition and has exhibited in several Devon art exhibitions and contemporary art galleries throughout the UK and sold her paintings recently in USA.

The painting is exquisite... I am absolutely delighted. It's the first original artwork I've bought and I couldn't have chosen better. I'm already saving for the next one!

A glitch on the website meant that messages sent to and from the artist post purchase (and prior to despatch) had to be relayed by phone via ArtGallery. But that was the only problem - otherwise the process was seamless and I wouldn't hesitate to buy this way again. Very happy!
