    I was born in Manchester in 1958, and from an early age I loved to draw and paint. I studied Art and Art History A level, and in 1980 I graduated from Manchester with a BA Hons in printed textiles. I then moved to London where I worked at The London Design Studio for two years as a textile designer, and then as a freelance designer for over fifteen years ( with a few years gap when my daughter was born ). My designs sold in London, New York, and Paris, and were used mainly for furnishing fabric and wallpaper designs. I now live in Surrey, and in the last couple of years I have returned to painting. I now paint full time and sell my art online. I paint mainly in acrylic on canvas, and because of my background in textiles I am passionate about pattern and texture. I love to travel, especially to Italy, and I sketch wherever I go.

    I love ?? the artwork! The artist painted a beautiful scene of a cottage w/mountains behind it. So different. So warm & welcoming that I when I look at it I feel I'm escaping to a magical place where life is calm, peaceful & serene!

    I wanted a lovely piece of artwork but the artist had listed she doesn't sell to U.S. I contacted her & she said she'd sell it to me. The art team worked really hard w/me to make it a smooth transaction.
