    Painting is attracting me from an early childhood. First steps in art began with painting on glass, wood and concrete. Next step was started oil painting on canvas. It was a new path and encountering new impressions and emotions. I am glad to introduce people to my art. I mainly specialize in realistic painting, but I like to experiment. Sometimes I am combining styles of realism and impressionism in one picture. I work mostly thin brushes to draw effectively details. Sometimes I use a palette knife and other unexpected devices for texture painting. I think more virtuosic the details on canvas, the more interesting the picture. I get real pleasure from the work process. My heart is open and full of love. This energy flows into the paintings. When I am painting I feel connected to the world and to myself, and painting allows me to process my emotions, discover new things about myself, and grow creatively. I think that all of us connect with certain works because they speak to our experience or temperament, or simply make us feel good. I also believe that once a painting is finished, it already has an owner; the two just have to meet. I hope you find your perfect match here!

    Fabulous picture! - This is the fourth picture I have brought from Ira Whittaker. Ira's paintings are so realistic - the attention to detail especially. When I took this picture to the Framers there were four people in the shop, who all crowded around, admiring the picture. Since it has been hung on my wall it has also received many compliments. Shipping was quick and the picture was very well packaged.
