I'm what some refer to as a 'Self taught Artist'. Essentially, I forged my own path. From an early age I had a deep longing to paint. At first I experimented, I dabbled, I skirted around. I dipped a toe in this, an elbow in that, deciding the temperature just wasn't right. I read, explored, practised. And then I discovered Watercolour, set sail and never looked back. My paintings now travel much further than me, Australia, Canada, US and Europe. I hope you like what you see because I love what I do.
I've painted since I could hold a brush but its the purity of watercolour that I'm passionate about. I paint Landscapes and Seascapes with bold and emotive skies, guided by nature’s wonderful colours and a healthy imagination. Animals and flowers as I see them, sometimes quirky, sometimes haunting and expressive. My paintings are inspired by places I have visited and memories I hold close. All the paintings on my page are originals, signed on the front and rear. I do not currently produce prints. My paintings are supplied unframed and unmounted, the images with frames are for illustration only. My paintings are a standard A4 (297mm x 210mm) or A3 (420mm x 297mm) size. I use only artist quality paints and paper and work from my studio in Staffordshire, where I share a home with my wife, daughter and Tiggs the cat. I began selling on Artgallery in April 2020.
Paint Long and Prosper.
