My interests in styles tends towards Expressionism, and I am interested in Abstract providing I see some sense in the image. In my own work I try to placate all interests but I really do try to employ something a bit different. I am basically self taught.. I obtained a degree 2.2 in Humanities at the age of 45; by which time I was an antiques dealer and publisher producing a magazine entitled 'Antiques & Collectables'. I also wrote and published a number of books on ceramics, lincluding, 'Troika Ceramics of Cornwall', 'Pottery and Porcelain Marks' 'Keith Murray Designer' and 'Royal Doulton Ceramics'. Unfortunately my company went into liquidation in 2007 during the big banks problems and I then retired and took up painting full time. I was very interested in art and as a dealer bought and sold paintings but I always had an urge to paint. After 6 years of studying in a part-time capacity at various classes including Bath University, I eventually joined the Bathampton Art Group where we have an exhibition three times a year. I have also entered my work in various public exhibitions around the Bath area and sold a few paintings. In an effort to show my paintings; I was allowed to set up a position in Green Park station in Bath, which is a disused railway station, and used for antique and various other fairs where I painted and sold my works to the tourists.
