I have always been 'An Artist', for as long as I can remember. Avidly drawing anything and everything around me. My education in art has been 'life itself', especially natural patterns I was accepted for a degree in Fine Art at the West of England college of Art, Bristol, but was unable to accept at the time, due to illness (although I was given the reassurance that a pass was a good possibility) I was then mentored by a professional artist Mr.Ken Tadd, and learned a great deal from him. Being a wife and mother gave me profound and wonderful 'time out' from artistic output for some years, but I have now seriously begun to explore my artistic dream again, especially during the last 5 years. (Previously my acheivements have been cards/magazine illustrations and various pictures for friends and family. For the past 4 years I have been part of Timsbury Art Group. We have various exhibitions throughout the year, one of which is Wells Cathedral, where 11 of my pictures sold this year. My pictures are generally small and detailed, and my medium is Acrylic Chroma colour. I paint things that 'catch my eye' and inspire me, anything from architectural features to flowers, people, animals etc.
