I am an artist based in rural Wales. My inspiration is drawn from subjects that I am passionate about, including the rural landscapes of South East England, which I have grown up and worked in, and the stunning Welsh countryside where I now live. Traditional farming, The Battle of Britain and majestic steam engines are all important subjects in my paintings, reflecting my lifelong interest in these themes. My art is about capturing moments so easily lost or forgotten, each painting revealing new levels of detail and intrigue every time you return to it. The draw of paint for me is the possibility to express something of the emotional response and nuance of feeling with which the human mind overlays our recollections.
