I work in watercolour, oils, pencil and pen both en plein air and in my studio at my home on the North Downs where I use an old lithographic press purchased from the London College of Printing. My other printmaking is undertaken at a print workshop in Chelsea where I employ etching, drypoint and monoprint techniques. My subject-matter (landscape, urban, portrait, still-life) is varied but often has a narrative content involving people. My painting 'Bar - Midday' was selected by The Royal Watercolour Society for its 'Contemporary Watercolour 2017' exhibition at Bankside Gallery, London in March. More recently, my watercolour. 'Waiting for Uber', was hung by the University of Cambridge at its Summer Open Exhibition 2019 while a drypoint print 'Holding' was pre-selected for the Royal West of England Academy's 165th Open Exhibition.
