My father, brother and sister were all established painters, so I kind of fell into it. I don't remember a time when I wasn't painting and drawing. For a long time while I lived in Cairo, as well as painting, I also had the chance of working with clay, making figurines, of which I sold hundreds both to Egyptians and other expatriates. When we came home and I retired from 'real work' I was able to paint much more. I use mainly watercolours and acrylics. I love to paint country life, country shows and auctions and car boots. Church interiors and choirs. Houses and gardens and English and Welsh Villages are really appealing. I have sold many paintings to collections in the USA, Canada,Singapore Germany and France.

Artwork

This is a sweet little piece, and an interesting subject, but would have been much more realistic with heavily textured stone work, which, in my view, it is crying out for. Christine has some lovely pieces in her gallery.
