I studied at Lincoln Art College in 1976 -79 to study graphic design, illustration being my main interest. Over the years I have produced and sold many drawings and portraits for people in charcoal and coloured pencil but never really touched paint apart from the occasional water colour. Eight or nine years ago I thought the only honourable thing to do was to spend some hard earned cash on all I need to start painting in oils and I started the hair yanking process to teach myself. I have had paintings accepted for the Patchings Open Painting Competition for the last four years and sold several commisioned paintings. I have done many copies of artists works I admire which is a great way to learn and now produce my own originals which I now offer for sale.

How lovely and nostalgic is this? I love everything about it, the milk bottles remind me of a happy childhood, with holes in the foil tops where the birds have drunk the layer of cream off the top! The brick wall is superb. The painting stands on my kitchen bench under a spotlight.Submitted by Yanine R 26/01/2016
