An Unwelcome Visitor

10 monthly payments of £32.50 0% APR
'An Unwelcome Visitor' is an original watercolour painting on Arches Aquarelle paper. It tells the story of a barn owl appearing at the shattered window of a derelict shed where an old, rusting pair of ice skates hang on a hook, concealing three little mice. I began this painting with a reference photograph of the old skates, and built a composition around them from imagination. I like a scene which suggests a story and I think this fits the bill, providing plenty of interest for a viewer. I've used my Daniel Smith watercolour paints and exploited their ability to provide a high level of texture, granulation and diffusion for my favourite earthy colour palette. Measuring approximately 17 x 12 inches, this painting is presented in a white mount within a complimentary yew wood frame with a gold sight edge, to a total size of about 25 x 20.25 inches, ready to hang. It will be boxed securely in cardboard and sent along with a certificate of authenticity.
