This portrait of a bellowing red deer stag has been painted with EVA (plastic/resin). The image is divided up into segments and each segment is decorated with an abstract pattern as they are filled in. This innovative technique creates a wonderful mosaic effect as the EVA has the look of glossy ceramic. There's a fascinating mix of colours here combined with touches of glitter gold. The textured white background continues around the sides of the deep edge canvas so no frame is required. The gorgeous bright colours are enhanced with two coats of varnish for protection. This is a stylish piece of original art which took a week to complete.
