I find that the pear is such an engaging shape that I am currently preoccupied in drawing and painting it in various ways.   This is an amusing take on an idea of what type of pear would be appropriate for my favourite artists.   Here it is for the renowned 20th century sculptor (1902-1966).  The work is textured using plaster and a thickening gel with acrylic paints.  I wanted a dry, flaky, textured style overall, in tune with clay used by sculptors.

Although it is not framed it is deep enough to hang without one.   It is signed on the reverse.
