I play guitar. Never in a band, but for my own appreciation. Anyone who also plays will know the meditative value of playing the instrument, and to be able to play the same music as Jimi Hendrix once did is about as close to him as you can get now. I believe him to be not only one of the greatest musicians to have ever lived, but also one of the most creative, which I think showed in both his musical and lyrical compositions. With this piece I've tried to pay homage to the great man and to portray him in a contemplative and serene state - before he's on stage before the masses, where he's formulating his lyrics or hatching ideas for songs.
