Painting has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, even as a young child I was always drawing and painting everything.
After school, even though my parents wanted me to work full time I decided to go to college. I knew that I wanted to study Art but I was not sure what area I would want to specialise in, so I applied for a general Art and Design course, through the 2 years at college I learned a lot about the different areas in art, photography, sculpture, textiles, interior design, graphic design but what I still loved and felt I was best at was Fine Art.
I finished College with 2 A-Levels, I was absolutely beaming in confidence that I would one day become a professional freelance artist.
Once I had a few paintings for my portfolio, I thought the best thing to do first was to set up a website for myself and to try to get myself noticed on the online world.
This has happened to be one of the most difficult things in the universe to do, the internet is a huge place full of Artists and talented people trying to do exactly the same thing as me.
After a while I sold a few of my paintings and I had a steady amount of hits to my website.
I am still confident that I will make it as a professional Artist, my work still gets a lot of interest, I am now selling open edition prints of my work and have completed a few commissions for my work.
