I'm an artist. I work under the name Listen04. I studied Graphic Design (BA Hons) at Salford University but turned artist in 2007.
I have 'art tourettes' so whatever I'm thinking at that particular moment ends up on whatever I'm painting, be it a canvas, a traffic cone or something else I took from a skip.
My work has been described as intoxicant induced, abstract graffiti and makes use of various mediums such as spray paint, marker pen, oil and acrylic. Choice of subject matter is extremely varied and quite random, however music is often the driving force behind the whole creative process. Pieces of everday conversations, lyrics and humourous phrases come together to make an eclectic mix of words and imagery...
The arrows represent my mood and mostly go down; however most of the art can be hung both ways round to create a whole other picture.
There is a big arrow tattoed on my right leg along with a copyright symbol. The tattoo is the ultimate representation of anti-commercialism... oh the irony.
I have a studio in the middle of nowhere in the form of a shed.
