Artist Gary Kitchen

Self taught, I have painted in watercolour and pastels throughout my life selling to friends, family and through various internet web sites. My favourite subjects are the landscapes of Northern England and buildings & architecture, a subject to which I think watercolour is especially suited. I particularly like painting in a "loose" style where the paint is applied onto wet paper and decides itself where to run and how to mix - it produces erratic results and lots of "binned" paintings, but now and again it all comes together !
