I have always been interested in Art and went to college and university to study creative subjects. At College I studied 3-dimensional design and at University I studied a Degree in Jewellery, Silversmithing and Allied Crafts and History of Art. Although I never actually had the bottle to study Fine Art, the subjects I did choose gave me more than an opportunity to grow as an Artist. The Jewellery course I studied was in creative jewellery as apposed to traditional. This type of jewellery design involved alot of research and design principals. To convey our designs to their full advantage we were encouraged to develop our drawing skills through life drawing. I'd began this process on the 3-dimensional design course and flourished at University.
Since leaving University I have had a variety of jobs few of them artistically related although often they have funded my ability to continue with my Art and buy the materials needed. I have taught jewellery making and an art course for a short period which I really enjoyed.
In terms of sales I've had a few but then I haven't really tried till now to put my stuff out there. On one ocassion I sold an ink painting to a poster company who took the painting and mass produced it. I then went on to sell one at an exhibition.
